We collect your full name, gender, date of birth, email address, daytime and mobile phone numbers, home address and an emergency contact including name and number. We also record your responses to your privacy choices.
If you submit a contact form we will collect the data you submit in a Google email account. This account is accessed by the club secretary, membership secretary and website administrator for the purposes of administering the club’s membership and activities.
Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
When you become a member of or renew your membership with Histon & Impington Bicycle Club you will be registered for an online account with British Cycling. We will provide British Cycling with your personal data which they will use to enable access to an online portal for you (called My Dashboard) on the British Cycling website. British Cycling will use your personal data in accordance with its Privacy Notice which can be accessed here.
British Cycling will contact you to invite you to sign into and update your dashboard (which, among other things, allows you to set and amend your privacy settings). If you have any questions about the continuing privacy of your personal data when it is shared with British Cycling, please contact compliance@britishcycling.org.uk.
As a club member your information may be shared with HIBC committee members, on the club website, social media pages or in emails sent by the club. This data will only be shared in the event that either you are a club volunteer, have participated in a race or challenge event or have recorded a major achievement. This data will be limited to your name, race results (if applicable) and details of your achievement. Limited further information about you may be included; for example, whether you have participated in a juniors’ race or a women’s race.
We retain your data while you are a member of the club and if you allow your membership to lapse, for up to one year after that time. Personal data associated with a lapsed membership is deleted within 14 months of the membership lapsing.
You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Your data is stored on British Cycling’s systems in accordance with British Cycling’s data procedures and privacy notice. Histon & Impington Bicycle Club protects personal data by minimising further electronic storage of personal details, which is limited to email addresses stored in a Gmail email account. Paper records such as PAR-Q forms are securely destroyed each year after the winter training programme has finished.
